Rare Plant Photos
In order to add some visual interest to the site, I have included photos of rare native Lanark County plants in this section. For the most part, these are 'wildflower' shots. I include a few rare sedge and grass pictures, however, most such plants tend not to be very photogenic, and the technical characters that distinguish many of the species are not easily photographed. Likewise for most aquatic species. All listed species are native in the county and rated as rare in the checklist (known from five or fewer extant locations).
